I once heard someone talk on living life backwards. It's like you consider what you're about to choose and then you think about what will happen behind that choice. Okay--it's this way. Let's say you're thinking of NOT running track this year at school. Think backwards---if you do that, you'll have more time for friends, but when you apply for that scholarship the coach has been talking about, well, if you quit the team you probably won't get it. What to choose? What's most important to you? You decide.
It's like that with everything. It's your choice what you do, how you respond to things. What you say when someone's RUDE. What to say when you know you're the only one who could encourage a friend. You choose.
Lots of people have put "What would Jesus do?" on everything from jewelry to t-shirts. It's a good thing to think about, even though people may use that phrase so much that they forget what it really means. Maybe it's time to consider that question when a decision has to be made.
Choices. We make them....we live them.
